THE ROLE
As a Technical Consultant – AEC (Civil), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and enablement services to clients across the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors. You’ll support professionals in adopting Autodesk Civil 3D and related AEC tools, through both onsite and virtual engagements. Your technical expertise and instructional skills will drive software proficiency, workflow improvement, and digital capability uplift across the industry.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Delivering instructor-led training (onsite and virtual) across Autodesk Civil 3D and related platforms (e.g., InfraWorks, Navisworks, ReCap, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
Facilitating onboarding and ongoing learning through structured programs and microlearning tailored to client roles and project phases
Customising training content and datasets aligned to industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and project-specific workflows
Supporting both subscription-based and project-specific training engagements with measurable outcomes
Advising clients on digital engineering workflows and best practices to streamline modelling, documentation, and collaboration
Creating digital resources such as user guides, quick reference tools, and tutorial videos
Responding to post-training support queries and delivering follow-up coaching as needed
Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, consulting, and customer success teams to scope training needs and define learning paths
Tracking and reporting on training attendance, progress, satisfaction, and outcomes
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a proactive, collaborative and technically skilled consultant with a passion for education and digital transformation in the civil engineering space.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
3+ years of experience using Autodesk Civil 3D in a civil, infrastructure, or consulting environment
Experience delivering technical training to professionals, either onsite or online
Familiarity with related tools such as InfraWorks, Navisworks, ReCap, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Exposure to BIM and digital engineering standards such as ISO 19650
Strong instructional skills with the ability to tailor content to diverse client needs
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in creating training materials and digital learning resources
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements concurrently
Desirable qualifications and certifications:
Autodesk Certified Professional – Civil 3D
Autodesk Certified Instructor (ACI) – or willingness to obtain
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) – highly regarded
Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Design, or a related field
Additional requirements:
Full Australian working rights
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for onsite delivery
Flexibility to support clients across different time zones when required
Experience with tools such as Zoom, Teams, Arlo, Camtasia, Snagit, or similar
