A leading global, specialist engineering firm are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Building Code Consultant to join their team. This role will support the directors and managers within the firm. As a Building Code Consultant, you will provide expert advice on building codes and regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the design and construction processes. In this role you will have a range of responsibilities and opportunities that allow you to develop professionally within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure adherence to codes.
• Assist and advise in the application of building codes to the design and development of projects.
• Prepare reports and fee proposals for clients
• Be able to offer innovative solutions to design issues not meeting codes
• Stay updated on changes in building codes and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Qualification in Building Surveying or similar
• MUST have the equivalent of at least 2 years' experience in building code consulting or related field
• Have a work safety construction industry qualification (white card)
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft office (particularly Word and Excel) and Bluebeam
• C Class Driver's license
• Results Orientated, with great communication and interpersonal skills
