Reporting to the Head Chef, the role of the Sous Chef joins the Client Services team that caters for clients, partners and staff for all internal meeting requirements, in house events and café food for the in-house Café.

The firm will be moving to their new office space in Brisbane's CBD in June 2026, which will bring together a state-of-the-art kitchen and a multifaceted space, including a 'winter garden', enabling them to host the most incredible events!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting daily operation of kitchen and preparation of: Café food, buffet lunches, formal lunches and dinners, cocktail parties, breakfasts, after-hours meals and other relevant catering requirements.
• Provision of catering to the highest standard for partners, clients and staff.
• Utilise specialised booking software to access workload information for the kitchen team, for efficient provisioning and coordination of all catering services.
• Support all administrative duties including ordering, processing daily invoices, reporting, time sheets and leave forms.
• Liaise with Head Chef regarding daily/weekly/monthly client and internal catering requirements.

To be successful you will be a commercially qualified Chef, with broad experience across various hospitality environments and cuisines in a Sous Chef or a Chef de Partie role. Who has strong communication skills and excels in an supportive role in an environment that is constantly changing and where your creativity is valued as well as your ability to supervise and give direction in a hands on small team environment and be a true team player and have the ability to run the kitchen efficiently and effectively in the Head Chefs absence.
