The Opportunity
Peregian Springs Country Club is a large retirement living community that is home to 230+ independent living units and is located moments from the Peregian Springs Golf Club. Working closely with your small team of hospitality staff, you'll lead the kitchen to success by providing exquisite hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of all residents. Our Chef Managers are extremely hands-on preparing meals and building relationships with residents.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday 9.30-5.30pm

You will:
- Be responsible for all kitchen and dining operations - overseeing lunch & dinner services and creating fresh ideas in the kitchen
- Work closely with the team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly and coordinating ideas for events and functions
- Monitor daily Food Safety and compliance checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policies
- Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments
- Following up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issues
What you'll bring:
- Experience as a Chef in any kitchen setting (e.g retirement villages, aged care, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs or pubs)
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)
- Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
- Kitchen management experience (ordering stock, rostering and admin experience)
- Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
