The Australian Banana Growers’ Council (ABGC) is seeking a creative and driven Stakeholder Engagement & Impact Coordinator to join our Membership and Advocacy team.

This exciting new role is your chance to make a real difference in Australia’s largest horticultural industry. You’ll work directly with banana growers and stakeholders to tell their stories, showcase industry impact, and bring people together through strategic events and engagement campaigns. Your work will help reinforce the value of ABGC membership and strengthen our advocacy voice across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver grower events, workshops, campaigns, and roadshows

Lead ABGC’s presence at major events like Banana Congress and National Banana Day

Create compelling content for digital platforms, newsletters, member updates, and industry publications

Source and share grower stories that demonstrate impact and success

Support advocacy efforts through research, surveys, and collateral development

Collaborate across teams to maintain consistent and meaningful member messaging

We’re looking for someone with:

Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience in engagement, communications, and/or event coordination

Strong digital skills, including Canva, Mailchimp, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office

A passion for rural communities and the horticulture industry

Bonus points for:

Experience working in a membership-based or agricultural organisation

Understanding of regional or farming communities

Qualifications in communications or stakeholder engagement
