About the role

Join the talented team at Tesseract ESS as our renewable energy and electrification Platform Product Lead. In this full- or part-time position based in Newcastle, NSW, you'll be responsible for driving the strategic direction and development of our cutting-edge B2B energy services software platform. Leveraging your expertise in software product management and a passion for innovation and the clean energy transition, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our economy.

What you'll be doing

Own the Product Vision & Strategy: Shape the product strategy and roadmap and set the direction for energy innovation and communicate to internal and external stakeholders

Enhance Customer Experience: Champion a user-centric approach to product development and continuously drive improvements. Use insights from discovery, user behaviour, feedback, and market trends to create seamless, high-impact solutions.

Optimise & Scale: Spearhead the growth of a new energy management platform while ensuring long-term product-market fit.

Lead Agile Product Development: Collaborate with design, stakeholders and engineering team to develop, test, and iterate based on real user needs.

Leverage Market & Competitive Insights: Identify opportunities to strengthen the platform’s positioning and gain a competitive edge.

Drive Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics to measure success, optimize features, and prioritise and manage the product backlog to ensure efficient and effective development

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in software product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful B2B digital products

Proficiency in agile methodologies and product lifecycle management

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into informed decisions

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

Degree in Engineering, Design, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience required

Experience in the renewable energy or electricity industry is an advantage
