About Us:
We are a fast-growing Melbourne-based bus company providing reliable, high-quality transport services, with a strong focus on school runs, charter services, and government transport contracts. As we move into our next stage of expansion, we are looking for a dynamic and results-driven General Manager who can bring in new business and grow our client base.
About the Role:
This is not just an operational leadership role — we are seeking someone who can open doors, build partnerships, and secure new contracts, especially with schools, education networks, and government departments. The ideal candidate will be well-connected within the industry and have a proven track record of bringing in business, securing contracts, and driving growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively develop and secure new business opportunities and long-term contracts
Leverage existing industry relationships to expand our presence in the education and government sectors
Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the business
Drive cost efficiency, improve service quality, and streamline internal processes
Build and lead a high-performing team with a strong culture of accountability
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
Key Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in the bus or passenger transport industry
Proven ability to win contracts and bring in new clients
Strong network of contacts within schools, councils, and government departments
Demonstrated experience in senior leadership and team management
Sound financial and operational planning skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen
