The Opportunity
As General Manager – Early Childhood Education & Practice, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a network of early years services. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and delivering the organisation’s vision, ensuring sector-leading standards, and fostering a safe, high-quality learning environment for both children and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and empower a multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding early childhood education and care
Shape and implement strategic priorities to drive quality improvement and sector innovation
Champion a culture of child safety, wellbeing, and professional excellence
Build and nurture collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the early childhood sector
Oversee compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, ensuring operational excellence
Manage budgets, support grant applications, and contribute to the organisation’s ongoing growth and sustainability
About You
Proven management and leadership experience, ideally within early childhood education or a related field
Demonstrated ability to inspire, develop, and lead high-performing teams
Passion for delivering positive change and driving continuous improvement in the early years sector
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative, values-based approach
Degree-qualified in early childhood education, adult learning, or a related discipline
Highly developed communication, project management, and analytical skills
