Great opportunity to join a well-established Australian manufacturing Company that manufactures a range of “made to order” building products and solutions (with short lead time delivery requirements) for their customers in every state of Australia primarily in the residential building sector. With a high profile, our client is committed to safety, efficiency, providing a quality range of products and excellent customer service.

Reporting into a General Manager for the Region, this role relates to overseeing and leading a medium to large sized multi-site business (140+ personnel, with multiple manufacturing sites and numerous country regional sales locations), which is “fast paced, and very outcome driven – involving sales, administration, design and estimating, production, logistics and installation services.

Your mandate is to continue to proactively grow the company’s business in line with Company set strategy and objectives - as it relates to revenue, margin, profitability, and market share AND drive the leadership team building on their skills and performance. This will entail proactively leading, developing, training, coaching, managing, and working closely with your Leadership Team (Sales, Manufacturing / Operations, Customer Service, Estimation, Field Service), working strategically and “hands on”, fostering a culture encouraging people to take ownership, build resilience, use their initiative to solve problems and achieve outcomes. In working across the business, you will support all key stakeholders (internal and external) ensure sales and customer service, product quality, DIFOT, OH & S policy, engineering, maintenance & reliability, installations, project management and continuous improvement of all processes and systems including lean manufacturing principles.

The ideal Executive will be a proven Senior Manager, Profit Centre / GM / State Manager having demonstrated leading and managing medium + sized teams / businesses ($60M+) in a manufacturing (made to order), sales and distribution environment in the building industry. Further you will ideally have Tertiary qualifications (technical or business), and demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, commercially savvy, strong sales and operations skills, solid financial acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being IT literate (Excel, ERP systems), being organized, disciplined, resilient, professional and enjoy driving continuous improvement. Salary commensurate with experience.
