Turf Production Field Operator [Farmhand]

The role of the Production Farmhand, is to assist with the day-to-day operations of the farm. This position is an “all-rounder” role which supports the day-to-day work on the farm, requiring a reasonable level of fitness and energy, as it requires a significant amount of manual labour. It is expected that the incumbent of this position undertakes other reasonable duties and tasks as requested by their supervisor, within their capabilities, including additional duties as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work as part of a team to ensure production areas are maintained to a high standard

Assist with harvesting of turf orders, including stacking of turf rolls

Operate equipment and machinery as required eg. mowers

Provide assistance maintaining all turf areas, including displays

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential:

Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions

Available Monday through to Friday

Previous work or work-placement experience in a physically demanding role

Hold an unrestricted C-class driver's licence

Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

Desirable:

Farm experience and/or Turf maintenance experience and/or tertiary qualifications in Sports Turf Management or Horticulture

Tractor with implements and/or machinery operation

Forklift Ticket

White Card

HR Driver's Licence

Valid First Aid accreditation or willingness to obtain

Inductions and training provided.

Pay rate will be determined on qualifications, skills and experience.
