Bakery Mixer Operator

Qualifications & experience

Experience working in an industrial or commercial baking environment is essential. Producing high volumes of varied quality baked products.

Ability to work in fast paced, highly regulated and high-pressure environment.

Knowledge of food manufacturing factory processes and systems is desired with training in food safety and food manufacturing best practice.

Qualifications in food handling, baking or commercial cookery will be looked upon favorably.

Tasks & responsibilities

Set up and operate industrial mixers.

· Follow batch sheets or production schedules, ensure they match the SG scale schedule.

· Weigh and measure raw materials according to the recipe specifications.

· Monitor mixing times, speeds and temperatures to achieve desired consistency and texture.

· Inspect batch consistency and report any issues.

· Record batch information on the QA sheets accurately.

· Clean and sanitize mixing equipment.

· Perform routine checks and report any faults to the mixing equipment.

· Monitor stock levels of raw materials and order from the stores when required.
