HCG has an exciting career opportunity as a Team Leader to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, and we want to hear from you!
About the role:
Reporting to the Accommodation Service Manager, and supported by our Accommodation Officers, the Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of support workers who provide assistance and guidance to individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions living independently in the SIL home. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the support provided by the team is person-centered, respectful, and empowering, and enables individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations. This is a highly rewarding role as you will see both Residents and your team achieving their goals, which drives us at Hunter Care Group.

The successful applicant will have:
- Strong understanding of the NDIS, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Participants and their families/carers
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and support needs of our residents
- A strong understanding to HCG company values and the ability to provide ethical leadership
- Proven experience leading and managing a team
- The ability to communicate verbally and written, with Senior Managers, colleagues, Participants, and stakeholders in a prompt, articulate and respectful manner
- Strong administrative skills ensuring accuracy of processes and documents
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, decision making and balancing priorities
Essential Criteria:
- 2+ Years industry experience
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply)
- NDIS Worker Check Clearance (or willing to apply)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- NSW Drivers Licence with your own comprehensively insured car
- Ability to work a range of shifts (including day, afternoons and some overnights), and 1 weekend per fortnight
Desirable Criteria:
- Cert IV (or above) in Community Services/related field (or working towards)
