About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our SIL homes in Liverpool and Manly. The Team Leader is responsible for supervising support staff, coordinating participant supports, and ensuring high-quality service delivery that complies with NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct.

You will lead a team that actively supports participants to build life skills, engage in the community, and experience a safe and comfortable home environment. This role is critical in promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and professional integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Participant Support & Practice Leadership

* Deliver individualised, strengths-based, and community-inclusive support in line with NDIS plans

* Oversee personal care, daily living support, and household tasks where required

* Ensure the safety, rights, and dignity of all participants are upheld

* Provide guidance on managing complex behaviours and implementing Behaviour Support Plans

* Oversee medication management and ensure safe, compliant practices are maintained

Team Leadership & Staff Supervision

* Lead and support a team of Disability Support Workers across multiple sites

* Conduct regular staff supervision, performance appraisals, and team meetings

* Coordinate staff rosters and ensure adequate coverage across shifts

* Participate in the after-hours on-call roster to support urgent matters

* Promote a supportive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture

Quality, Risk & Compliance

* Ensure all support practices are in line with the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework

* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and incident reports

* Monitor and assess risks, maintain a current risk register, and implement mitigation strategies

* Identify areas for improvement and contribute to service quality and compliance reviews

Administration & Operations

* Oversee household routines, activities, and community engagement for participants

* Monitor and manage household budgets and ensure responsible resource use

* Liaise with families, stakeholders, and allied health professionals to coordinate participant outcomes

* Support a homely and welcoming environment that reflects the preferences of residents

Position Requirements

* Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support, or related discipline

* Proven experience as a Team Leader or Senior Support Worker in a SIL setting

* Strong understanding of NDIS policies, plans, and compliance requirements

* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check

* Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
