The Corporate Services Division incorporates governance, finance, legal, risk, information technology, property and logistics. The focus of the Division is to ensure Cancer Council’s Corporate Services operate to the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness to ensure compliance and support the organisation to deliver on its Strategic Priorities. The Division also works to ensure the protection and optimisation of the Council’s financial and business assets, and reputation.
Part of the Corporate Services Division, the Finance Team includes Payroll, Transactional Finance, Management Accounting and Financial Accounting.
About your opportunity
We are seeking a Payroll Lead to join the Corporate Services Division. Reporting to the Head of Finance your role is to:
- Manage the end to end payroll function for approximately 380 employees with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Ensure the organisation meets its taxation, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations.
- Lead payroll-related projects, including system enhancements, legislative changes and process improvements.
- Provide leadership and day to day support to the Payroll Officer.
All about you
We are looking for someone with:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Commerce and/or significant demonstrated experience in managing payroll functions within a complex organisation.
- Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, superannuation, and payroll related legislation.
- Ability to liaise with senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels.
- An analytical mind and demonstrated problem solving skills.
