Are you an experienced Line 1 Risk & Control professional ready to step into a high-impact leadership role? Our client is seeking a hands-on Team Lead to take ownership of complaints governance, operational risk treatment, and control effectiveness across a critical customer-facing function.

Your Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor a team focused on uplifting operational controls and ensuring adherence to risk management frameworks.
- Oversee the complaints management ecosystem, ensuring compliance with internal policy and external regulatory obligations.
- Manage and continuously improve Line 1 risk activities across asset management, vendor governance, audit actions, and control attestations.
- Act as a trusted advisor on internal controls, risk profile management, audit readiness, and treatment plans.
- Deliver high-quality risk reporting and facilitate key risk forums across the business.
- Identify control weaknesses and drive sustainable, well-managed solutions to address operational, compliance, and strategic risks.
- Promote a culture of accountability, resilience, and proactive risk ownership.
What You’ll Bring:
- A strong background in Line 1 operational risk, compliance, or governance, ideally within a customer resolution, complaints, or operations function.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, influence and deliver through others.
- Expertise in control design, issue management, regulatory engagement, and assurance activities.
- Excellent analytical skills and a sharp eye for identifying risk trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence operating in large, complex organisations.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the resilience to deliver under pressure.
