A prominent superannuation fund is seeking a strategic and hands-on risk professional to lead the development and execution of enterprise risk initiatives. This role plays a key part in enhancing operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and risk culture across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk and Compliance, you will work closely with business units to embed a proactive and data-informed approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the enterprise risk framework to support strategic and regulatory objectives;
• Partner with business units to conduct risk assessments and implement effective controls;
• Lead the identification, investigation, and resolution of operational incidents;
• Apply data analytics to identify trends and emerging risks, supporting proactive risk mitigation;
• Contribute to the organisation’s compliance with CPS230 by enhancing operational continuity planning;
• Deliver regular reporting on enterprise and operational risks to executive leadership and the Board;
• Oversee AML/CTF compliance activities, including training, transaction monitoring, and SMR submissions;
• Manage KYC processes and ensure third-party payment controls meet regulatory expectations; AND
• Champion improvements in risk and treasury processes through technology and innovation.

Ideal Candidate

• Extensive experience in enterprise or operational risk management, ideally within financial services or superannuation;
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks and regulatory obligations, including CPS/SPS 220;
• Demonstrated capability in designing, implementing, and maintaining risk programs in complex organisational environments;
• Proven ability to manage relationships with external vendors and engage effectively with regulatory bodies such as ASIC and APRA;
• Highly skilled in stakeholder engagement, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach; AND
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are highly regarded.
