Hays is partnering with one of our long-standing clients that requires a highly talented and experienced qualified Planning & Reporting Lead for a 6 months, fixed-term contract parental leave cover to start ASAP. Our client is located close by to Canning Vale in Perth, WA.

Ideally you will have prior Big4 audit firm experience, accompanied with commercial sector experience.
This position is ideally looking to start in the next 2 weeks.

Your new role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for various tasks including;

- Complete various half and full year statutory requirements
- Prepare monthly financial statements and provide insightful commentary that links financial performance to key business drivers and strategies
- Co-ordinate the forecasting, budgeting and corporate planning processes
- Complete all reporting requirements including month-end accounts, Board reports and planning requirements
- Taxation (annual income tax returns, FBT, GST/BAS, monthly tax effect accounting and journal entries)
- Oversee all aspects of capital management and reporting

What you'll need to succeed

- CA / CPA full accounting qualification
- Big 4 audit firm experience
- Prior commercial experience in a large company
- Strong technical accounting, audit, tax, reporting and planning skills
- Availability to commence within the next 2 weeks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong stakeholder management experience, with this position interacting with finance peers, commercial teams and General Managers
- Strong systems literacy
- Full commitment to this 6 months, fixed-term contract
- Prior people leadership experience - this position supervises 1 x qualified accountant.

What you'll get in return

- An attractive annual salary level offered between $150,000 to $190,000 inclusive of superannuation (then pro-rata), dependent on experience.
