We are funded by the Federal Government as an Industry Growth Centre. Our work spans clean-tech manufacturing including: batteries, solar, wind, carbon, industrial decarbonisation, First Nations, transport, transmission and distribution.
THE ROLE
Australia’s Battery and Critical Minerals Industries are standout performers, with exceptionally high standards for Environment, Social and Governance. We are building a picture of how Australia performs to understand gaps and areas of excellence. By analysing this information, we need you to reveal new insights, build benchmarks and help Australian industry improve and differentiate its products.
The ESG Analyst will build and maintain a database of ESG performance across Australia’s critical minerals and battery manufacturing ecosystem to ensure that manufacturers have a deep understanding of the provenance of battery materials and components. The information will need to be gathered and synthesised from publicly available information and proprietary sources.
The Analyst will generate strategic insights, recommendations and benchmark performance across peer companies. The Analyst will develop impactful reports and communicate insights to our national audience to help grow Australia’s battery industries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain ESG data in a structured form for Australia’s critical minerals and battery industries
Analyse industry data to understand trends.
Develop impactful reports and insights.
Oversee database modifications for information tracking.
Collaborate with analysts to support team outcomes.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you must:
Be numerate, capable of research and enquiry, and capable of planning and working toward a complex analytical problem (if not degree qualified).
Have a strong and broad awareness of the current industry and the broader global context.
Be comfortable working with multiple sources of ambiguous and uncertain information.
Have demonstrated experience in a data-centric environment.
