Role Requirements: We’re seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Officer with strong Pronto ERP experience and a background in mining or heavy industry.

  • End-to-end payroll processing (300+ staff)
  • In-depth knowledge of awards, EBAs, STP, super, and payroll tax
  • Strong Pronto system experience (essential)
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills

Role responsibilities:

  • Processing weekly and fortnightly payroll across multiple sites
  • Interpreting complex awards, EBAs, and handling payroll variations
  • Managing PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and workers' compensation
  • Completing payroll reconciliations and preparing month-end reports
  • Responding to employee queries and providing payroll advice
  • Lodging STP, overseeing year-end processes, and assisting with audits
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies
