About the Role:
WorkPac is currently in search of a Senior Payroll Manager to join our esteemed client's team based in Perth. This position is based on a Monday to Friday roster, full time hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, including wages, PAYG tax, and superannuation.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with STP, awards, and legislation.
Manage payroll-related obligations such as child support, novated leases, and termination payments.
Supervise and support the Payroll Officer, ensuring high standards and task completion.
Liaise with internal departments, ATO, and external providers like Scope Services.
Assist in continuous process improvement and recommend payroll system enhancements.
Ensure leave and entitlements are correctly managed in line with rosters and contracts.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience processing payroll in Australia for 300+ employees
Strong understanding of Australian income tax, PAYG, and superannuation obligations
In-depth knowledge of relevant Awards, EBAs, and employment conditions
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across all departments
Exposure to Pronto or similar ERP/payroll systems
