They currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team in Brisbane on a part-time permanent basis.

About the role:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working in a close-knit Payroll Team, the core responsibilities of the role include:

• Overseeing the preparation and processing of weekly payroll
• Calculation and processing of superannuation, terminations, leave entitlements, and long service leave
• On boarding of new staff members and maintenance of employee files
• Interpretation of Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
• Resolving internal and external payroll queries
• Continuous improvement for processes and systems
• Assisting with other ad hoc duties and projects within the scope of the role.

About you:
To be successful for the role, you must demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated experience in the position accountabilities
• A quick learner, and work well in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional eye for detail, time management, and working to deadlines
• You must be a strong problem solver with a “can-do” attitude
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• A team player with a positive attitude.
