OVERVIEW
Reporting directly to and working closely with our Finance Director, you will be ready to oversee day-to-day operations with multi-tasking abilities. We need a professional with inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate payroll processing in all areas. You will pride yourself on your proactive approach, positive attitude and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
End-to-end payroll processing in an accurate and timely manner, in line with agreed schedules and policies, including preparing payroll reports.
Perform payroll administration and maintain the payroll data/system with up-to-date employee records.
PAYG and superannuation processing.
Maintain employee leave, including parental leave, government paid parental leave payments. Understand the laws and regulations relating to parental leave.
Confirm leave approval for employees and maintaining leave reports.
Respond to payroll questions and support finance director in preparing any reconciliation reports on an ad hoc basis to support queries.
Ensure internal controls relating to payroll are adhered to.
Review pre-payroll report.
Onboarding new employees and offboarding leaving employees (resignation, termination etc).
Keep up to date with Australia government regulation on payroll matters.
