Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily operations of the medical centre, including staff coordination and patient flow

· Manage and mentor administrative and support staff

· Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy standards, and accreditation requirements

· Oversee billing, Medicare claims, and financial reporting

· Maintain and optimize practice management systems

· Liaise with GPs, specialists, allied health professionals, and external service providers

· Support accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives

· Handle recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance reviews

· Implement and monitor workplace policies and procedures

· Ensure a positive and efficient patient experience

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years of experience as a practice manager in a general practice or specialist setting

· Diploma or Certificate IV in Practice Management, Health Administration, or a related field

· Registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., AAPM) is desirable

· Proven experience in medical or allied health practice management

· Strong knowledge of Medicare, billing processes, and private billing processes and health insurance claims

· Proficiency in practice management software (e.g., Best Practice, Medical Director)

· Familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and accreditation standards

· Financial management experience, including budgeting, payroll, and reporting

· Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills

· Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic clinical environment.
