About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at Dough Si Dough Sourdough Bakery in Strathfieldsaye, Central Victoria. As a full-time Pastry Chef, you will play an important role in the production of high-quality cakes, croissants, pastries, pies, pasties, sausage rolls, tarts slices and other baked goods. This hands-on position offers the chance to showcase your expertise in a thriving & very popular local bakery.

What you'll be doing

Preparing cakes, pastries, slices, tarts, pies, pasties, sausage rolls and other baked goods according to production schedules, recipes and standards

Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all baked products

Maintaining a clean and organized work area throughout the baking process

Collaborating with the bakery team to meet production targets and customer demands

Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in pastry chefing or equivalent practical experience

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality

Excellent time management skills and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

A team-oriented approach and a passion for the industry

A preference for applicants to live in the Bendigo Region

Willingness to work afternoons, weekends, public holidays and all sesonal periods
