Position Overview:
Reporting to the General Manager – Technical Solutions & Business Development, this senior customer-facing role is responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying technical sales opportunities, and managing key industry relationships. You will play a central role in designing tailored solutions that meet client specifications, with full support from engineering, operations, and procurement teams. Your technical capability, commercial acumen, and consultative approach will be essential in expanding the company’s market share and building long-term partnerships. Key duties include:
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across the gas, energy, industrial, and utilities sectors
- Provide technical consultation and customised recommendations on odorant systems, chemical injection equipment, and containment products
- Prepare and present proposals, pricing models, and solution-based presentations to technical and commercial decision-makers
- Maintain and grow key client accounts by fostering strong relationships, understanding site requirements, and providing after-sales support
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless product delivery, installation, and commissionin
- Contribute to the ongoing development of market strategy and product positioning based on client feedback and industry insights
- Attend industry expos, trade shows, and technical forums to promote brand presence and engage new prospects
- Manage CRM records, maintain accurate sales pipeline data, and contribute to regular forecasting and performance reviews
Key Requirements:
To be considered for this role you'll need to possess prior tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Sciences or Chemical Technology. In absence of tertiary qualifications, at a minimum we would want to seek candidates that would be able to capably discuss the types of solutions my clients sell, and to whom they would sell to.
Sales experience is not essential, although desirable - the more you have the better and if it's in anyway to relevant the type of industry my client serves, that is the Chemical Engineering, Gas Infrastructure or Industrial Process systems that would be considered highly desirable.
