The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a Head Chef with at least 5 years of full time experience to take the lead in our kitchen. You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing the kitchen brigade, and ensuring a high standard of food quality, presentation, and service. This is a hands-on, full-time role for a confident, committed head chef who thrives in a busy environment and is ready to take up the mantle and lead.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily kitchen operations for both lunch and dinner service

Create new and innovative recipes and new menu items

Oversee the preparation of a broad range of dishes including pub favourites and international cuisine

Lead, train and mentor a small kitchen team in a fast paced, high-volume setting

Collaborate closely with waitstaff to ensure efficient, friendly service

Oversee stock control, ordering, and inventory management

Maintain strict hygiene, food safety and cleanliness standards

About You

Minimum 5 years’ full time experience in a similar Head or Sous Chef role

A highly relevant qualification

Previous experience in preparing Malaysian, Indian and international cuisines is essential

Calm under pressure, with proven ability to manage busy services with consistency

Strong leadership, communication and teamwork abilities

NSW Food Safety Certificate and solid understanding of hygiene regulations
