To make the most of the new world of work, we are a hybrid work place. On Tuesday and Thursdays we work together from our office in South Yarra (right next to the station) and other days either from home or office depending on business needs.
About the role
The Communications Officer position is responsible for creating and coordinating internal and external communications for ADAVB.
Key accountabilities
- Designing and preparing communication and marketing materials for ADAVB publications, including electronic and print direct mail, using email marketing platforms and InDesign.
- Creating and publishing eDMs and social media content.
- Managing partners’ editorial obligations across eDM, digital magazine and website platforms.
- Maintaining content and advertising and managing advertising invoices.
- Publishing website content updates via CMS.
- Providing occasional support for the eviDent Foundation such as eDM builds and sends.
- Coordinating ADAVB photography, filming and editing.
- Other duties as directed by the Engagement Manager or CEO
About you
Formal
Bachelor’s Degree (with a Marketing or Business Development major) is desirable but not essential.
Experience
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar or equivalent position.
- Intermediate to advanced Information Technology skills, including Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and InDesign.
- Experience with both Mac and PC operating systems.
- Photography, videography and editing programs (Photoshop, After Effects, and/or Premiere Pro).
- Experience in digital communications or digital marketing.
- Independence, judgment, assertiveness, tact, initiative, exceptional organisational/ time management skills, attention to detail and sensitivity.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Professionalism, including the capacity to work in a confidential environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and adapt your approach to changes in environment and circumstances.
