About the roles

The Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages creates and permanently stores birth, death, change of name and marriage records for life events occurring in Western Australia, and performs civil marriages in the Perth Registry Office.

Assistant Customer Service Officer (Level 1)

The Assistant Customer Services Officer supports the Registry Services Branch in the delivery of quality and customer focused services. The occupant of this role can expect to undertake a variety of tasks designed to broaden and strengthen their skills and knowledge.

Customer Service Officer (Level 2)

The Customer Service Officer works within a team with responsibility for providing a quality and customer focused service in registering births, deaths, marriages and change of names, and issuing certificates from those events.

Marriage Services Officer (Level 2)

The Marriage Service Officer works within a team which provides quality and customer focused services relating to marriages. The occupant conducts interviews with prospective marriage couples and provides procedural advice to Registry customers. The Marriage Service Officer assists, when required, to perform Registry Office marriages as a State appointed marriage officer.
