
Trainer and Assessor - Community Service/Individual Support

At Carers Queensland we are seeking an experienced, passionate, and qualified Trainer & Assessor to take a lead role in providing high quality training with our students and help shape the future of care.
You will provide high-quality, engaging and practical training, through delivery of interactive online training, practical face-to-face sessions (various locations), as well support student with site visits during placement and contribute to the on-going development and enhancement of our curriculum - this role can be full time or with the bonus of being part-time for work life balance.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver training and assessment services online and face-to-face – including evening classes (as required)
- Conduct support sessions with students and regularly contact student cohort to provide support and feedback to all students to ensure successful completion of study
- Monitor, mark and conduct student assessments
- Conduct site visits with students on vocational placement to provide support and conduct student assessments where applicable
- Plan, review and improve training and assessment materials, including participating in assessment validation/moderation for continuous improvement
- Engage with students on digital applications and log all student contact on Student Management System
- Assist in the undertaking of Recognition of Prior Learning processes where applicable
- Maintain current knowledge of the VET industry and standards

- Attractive Remuneration Package of CSW4.1 - $85,421.81per annum = $43.08 p/hour plus superannuation 11.5 % (increase in July 2025).

Do you?
- Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor qualification.
- Have a minimum Certificate III in Individual Support in Aging and Disability stream AND OR Community Services?
- Have at least 2 years relevant industry working experience.
- Have evidence of industry currency within the last 12 months.
- Have high-level communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport quickly and adapt skills according to the audience or target group involved
