Work in healthcare for a purpose-led organisation making a real difference where it matters most

Your new company

This forward-thinking, purpose-led healthcare organisation based in Westmead Hospital is making a real difference where it matters most. With a reputation for excellence and a culture built on integrity, collaboration, and innovation, it delivers services that don't just support people-they transform lives.

With a team of around 45 staff and a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and employee satisfaction, the organisation is known for its collaborative culture, low staff turnover, and commitment to continuous improvement. The team is preparing to move into a new, purpose-built facility in the near future, offering a modern and dynamic workplace.

Your new role

As Project & Compliance Coordinator, you'll be at the centre of the organisation's strategic and quality operations. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape how project coordination is delivered, while also supporting a well-established quality & compliance framework. This is a highly collaborative role and you'll work closely with senior leadership and have visibility across the entire organisation and be fully embedded into the organisations culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the delivery of strategic initiatives by developing project plans, timelines, and task assignments
  • Using project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts) to track progress and identify dependencies
  • Following up on overdue tasks and escalating delays to leadership as needed
  • Supporting internal and external audits (ISO 9001:2015, RTAC) and maintaining audit schedules
  • Managing the document database (SharePoint), ensuring documents are current, accurate, and accessible
  • Assisting with the review and response to Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs)
  • Contributing to risk management and quality improvement initiatives
  • Liaising with stakeholders across all departments to ensure effective communication and delivery
  • Supporting the development of communications plans for strategic projects
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement

This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives on structure, enjoys working across teams, and takes pride in keeping complex projects running smoothly.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong background in administration, executive support, or project coordination
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of quality management systems and audit processes
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving systems and processes
  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-focused environment (desirable)
  • Project management certification or training (highly regarded)

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive salary: $80K-$90K + Super (up to $100K for the right candidate)
  • Gift day for your birthday
  • Annual leave loading and Christmas-New Year shutdown
  • Subsidised parking (~$25/week) and excellent public transport access
  • Flexible working hours (start between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM) (you can choose when you start and finish as long as it's 5 days and 7.6 hours per day!)
  • A supportive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
  • Opportunities for internal progression and skill development
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact in a purpose-driven organisation
