Your new role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Content Writer to join our Hays internal Marketing team. Joining Hays, means you'll be part of a forward-thinking business that's going places. This is a full-time permanent role. While we prefer the successful candidate to be based in Sydney CBD, we are open to considering applicants located anywhere within Australia and can offer flexibility regarding location.
The Content Writer will craft compelling, audience-centric copy across digital channels, bringing campaigns and always-on activity to life in fresh, engaging ways. Responsible for driving impact through high-quality content, this role plays a key part in brand storytelling, paid and organic marketing efforts, and thought leadership initiatives-including delivering two flagship pieces: the Salary Guide and Skills Report.
Our global network and ways of working mean you'll be part of something bigger, whilst taking pride in the work you do within a collaborative team. As the Content Writer, we will empower you to think beyond, redefine standards and evolve the status quo.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Content Creation: Write and optimise engaging content for blogs, landing pages, email newsletters, and digital channels tailored to diverse audiences.
- Campaign & Thought Leadership: Lead the development of flagship content like the Salary Guide and Skills Report, and craft compelling campaign and thought leadership copy.
- SEO & Optimisation: Conduct keyword research, collaborate with SEO teams, and optimise content for search visibility and user engagement.
- Performance & Strategy: Monitor content performance against KPIs and use insights to refine content strategies.
- Collaboration & Support: Work cross-functionally to support broader marketing efforts and stay ahead of digital and content trends.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, PR, or related fields.
- Ability to craft both long-form content (e.g., reports, blogs) and concise, engaging copy for digital and email marketing.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, web traffic metrics, and content performance analysis.
- Familiarity with the recruitment industry and the world of work.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and build lasting relationships.
- A storytelling mindset with a keen eye for detail and digital engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
