About Our Client
Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of packaging machinery, proudly servicing a diverse range of Australian businesses across the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and FMCG sectors. With a dynamic product range and a dependable supply chain, they’ve earned a strong reputation for reliability and exceptional customer service.
Due to continued growth, they’re now seeking an experienced and motivated B2B Sales Representative to drive new business development and manage existing client relationships across the broader Melbourne region.
About The Role
As the Account Manager/Business Development Manager, you’ll play a critical role in identifying, engaging and developing new business opportunities within the manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and FMCG sectors. You’ll be the trusted face of the company, building long-term partnerships by providing clients with tailored solutions to suit their business needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing and growing a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Conducting client meetings, site visits, and product demonstrations to understand customer requirements and recommend tailored packaging machinery solutions.
Preparing and delivering compelling sales proposals, quotes, and presentations.
Collaborating with internal technical and service teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activity, and product innovations.
About You
As the successful candidate for this role, you will be a relationship-driven sales professional with experience in solution-based selling. You will have previous B2B sales, account management, or business development experience, ideally selling capital equipment, industrial machinery, or technical solutions.
Additionally, you will bring:
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to understand technical specifications and translate customer needs into solutions.
Self-motivated, results-driven attitude with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
Salary & Benefits
$90,000 to $120,000 + Super + Car Allowance + Commissions
