The Opportunity
As Queensland prepares for the 2032 Olympics, the hospitality sector is experiencing significant growth and transformation. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Lead / Account Manager to spearhead our activities in Southeast Queensland. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage and grow our client base while exploring new business opportunities and avenues in a rapidly evolving market.
About the role
The position requires sales experience in hotel supplies and equipment or a related category, or operational front-of-house experience in the hospitality sector . You are a natural self-starter and accustomed to working autonomously. A positive attitude, drive and determination are prerequisite for this role, which is supported by sales, brand and product training as required. Working within a small yet highly efficient team, the role requires you to be adaptable, self-motivated, innovative and mobile.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management: Maintain relationships and grow revenue with current clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Queensland hospitality sector, leveraging industry trends to increase our account base
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction
Market Intelligence: Stay tuned to industry developments, competitor activities, and market dynamics to help with business decisions
Is this you?
Experience: Proven track record in account management and business development within the hospitality sector or related industries
Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Knowledge: Understanding of the Queensland hospitality market and its unique challenges and opportunities
Mindset: Proactive and results-oriented with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating partnerships that deliver points of difference
Location: Based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, with flexibility to travel as required
