Our four vibrant community centres are dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can come together, connect, and thrive. Our central hubs of activity and engagement offer a range of programs, events, and activities designed to enrich lives and strengthen community bonds across our region.
We now have three casual roles for community-orientated customer experience officers to be the first point of contact for our visitors and deliver exceptional customer service while also undertaking varied administration duties at our Centres.
As a Customer Experience Officer, you will be the face of our Community Centres ensuring that every interaction is positive, welcoming, and impactful. As a genuine people person, you will enhance the customers experience through a warm, caring, and proficient manner, integral to helping shape the way we assist the community now and into the future.
Reporting to our Community Centres Coordinator you will work closely with the rest of the team to support a cohesive and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities include working on the reception desk, administrative tasks, answering telephones, addressing customer enquiries, resolving complaints, room set up, cash handling, supporting with program and venue hire bookings, and general data entry.
You will also assist in the running of community events and programs, ensuring they operate smoothly and are a high-quality experience for attendees.
These positions will require you to possess the following attributes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, community-focused environment.
Proficiency in information technology and software and familiarity with customer management systems
These are excellent opportunities for candidates with strong administrative and customer service skills to contribute to the heart and soul of our communities, and to gain quality local government experience in a diverse and inclusive team setting.
Hours of work for these roles will vary across our regular opening hours Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm.
There may be some out of hours work will be required to accommodate evening and weekend events.
Shifts will be rostered at any of our four facilities, travel throughout our community and a current driver’s licence is essential.
These are Prescribed positions, and the incumbents will be required to undertake relevant (Child/Vulnerable/Aged/Disability) DHS Screen(s) and Child Safe Environment Training.
