The Bookkeeper plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of MJM by providing professional, timely and accurate financial management and administration. This includes reporting and ensuring compliance with legislation and accounting standards.
About the Role
The bookkeeper will manage the financial operations of MJM Heavy Equipment Repairs. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing general administrative and customer relations support. The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Financial Management: Perform accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, manage payroll processes and prepare financial reports.
Customer and Supplier Relations: Prepare quotations and purchase orders, liaise with suppliers and customers, and maintain accurate customer records.
Administrative Support: Manage day-to-day office administration, provide support with branding and marketing, assist with employee onboarding and travel arrangements, and support with job management and ensure compliance with safety standards.
*Three day a week position considered for suitable candidate
About You
Proven experience in a finance and administration or similar role.
Proficiency in financial management and payroll processes.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office, Intuit QuickBooks and relevant software applications.
