About the role
The Manager, Industry Development and Investment is responsible for driving the growth and sustainability of South Australia’s visitor economy by fostering investment opportunities and developing demand-driving tourism experiences. The role involves working collaboratively with the tourism industry, key stakeholders, and government partners to enhance industry capabilities and secure investments that support tourism development across the state.
A primary focus of the role is facilitating industry capability development through programs such as the Experience Development Program and the Distribution Ready Program, which supports the creation of high-quality tourism products and experiences. Additionally, the role builds strong relationships with stakeholders to attract and enable investment into South Australian tourism projects.
The Manager, Industry Development and Investment also contributes to sector-specific projects and strategies that align with the objectives of the Destination Development Unit within the South Australian Tourism Commission. The role supports initiatives that strengthen the competitiveness of South Australia’s tourism industry and position the state as a premier tourism destination.
This role is offered as a full-time, 5-year, non-executive contract at a salary classification level of ASO6
