Pine Rivers Eye Centre is a busy specialist eye clinic in Brisbane’s north, with a strong reputation in cataract surgery and subspeciality surgical and medical retinal experts. We are now entering a new phase of growth and are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee our day-to-day operations and support our clinical team.

Key responsibilities:

Manage daily clinic operations and workflow for a multidisciplinary ophthalmology team

Lead and mentor administrative and clinical staff

Oversee surgical bookings, billing, Medicare/private claims, and reporting

Recruit, onboard, and performance manage team members

Liaise with referrers and external providers to support clinic reputation

Monitor and optimise clinic KPIs, patient experience, and growth initiatives

A valued applicant will bring:

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in medical or surgical practice management

Strong leadership, communication, and HR skills

Understanding of Medicare billing and private surgical workflows

Confidence using practice management software (Gentu/Genie or similar)

Experience in ophthalmology, day surgery or medical subspecialty (highly regarded)
