About the role

As a Poly Welder, your role will involve delivering a range of dewatering projects. Operating various Poly Welding machines unsupervised and self-managed. Installing HDPE pipelines and associated infrastructures.

2/1 roster

Flights are from Adelaide to site.

$46 – $54 per hour depending on experience.

As a Poly Welder, your responsibilities include:

Carrying out HDPE Butt Welding on pipes from 63mm up to 900mm.

Carrying out electrofusion welding on HDPE pipe joints.

Carrying out general data entry (Weld Registers, HDPE Parameter Cards).

Performing pre-start inspections on all equipment being used and reporting faults to Site Supervisor immediately.

Operating heavy machinery.

Working closely with Site Supervisors to ensure a safe workplace, driving a culture of safety and ensuring you adhere to BMR’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Policies and Procedures at all times.

Required Skills and Experience:

Previous experience as a Poly Welder

Valid Butt and Electrofusion welding Certification from an RTO approved facilitator.

Valid Driver’s licence –

Construction White Card

National Police Clearance less than 12 months old

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and DAS screen.

Desirable but Non-Essential Skills:

HR license

Chainsaw ticket

Experience with McElroy machines.

Civil machine tickets.
