About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a hands-on, full-time role as the Farm Operations Manager for the Three Creeks Estate in Bartle Frere, Queensland. You will be responsible for overseeing all daily farm operations and ensuring the smooth running of our mixed farming enterprise, predominately red papaya with other emerging ventures. Whether you are an experienced farm operations manager, or you are seeking to expand your career within the agricultural sector, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

Manage the day-to-day farming activities, cropping, and equipment operations

Develop and implement operational plans and budgets to maximise productivity and profitability

Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all farm infrastructure, machinery, and equipment

Supervise and coordinate the farm's workforce, including hiring, training, and performance management

Ensure all farm operations comply with relevant regulations and best practices

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and innovations

What we're looking for

Experience in farm operations

Strong understanding of sustainable farming practices and the ability to implement them

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills

Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of up to twenty staff

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
