We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced and passionate Farm and Operations Manager to join our team.
Reporting to our Executive General Manager of SunPork Farms, this role is a critical leadership role that is focused on improving our systems, ensuring efficiency and achieving key business objectives.
You will be responsible for overseeing multiple farm locations across the Goondiwindi, Darling Downs and Western downs regions in regional QLD, Australia.

About the Role
As an Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Overseeing multiple pig farming operations, ensuring productivity goals, financial targets and health and safety standards are met
Leading and developing a culturally diverse team, fostering a high performance and engaged workplace culture
The preparation and management of budgets, overseeing capital expenditure projects and tracking key performance metrics
Managing farm biosecurity, herd health and animal welfare programs to meet regulatory and company standards
Engaging with external stakeholders across the board for all things necessary to the operational management of the farms
Ensuring environmental and sustainability compliance across multiple farm locations according to local, state, national and internal company regulations
Leading and taking part in production improvement projects as they apply to the farms and locations you’ll be overseeing
About You
In looking for a valuable addition to our team, our ideal candidate will have:
Strong leadership experience in the pork or intensive animal production industry
Robust knowledge of herd health, feed nutrition, quality control and farm biosecurity
Proven experience in financial and operational management, including budget reporting and development and performance reporting
Ability to problem-solve and manage complex farm operations with exceptional communication and people management skills
Certifications/Degrees in Agriculture or Rural Operations – strongly preferred
