We are a dynamic and growing company dedicated to excellence in our field. We are looking for a motivated Accounts/Bookkeeping Officer to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and accounts administration for multiple entities.
Bookkeeping duties - financial data entry and preparation of documents for the accountant. Accurately prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS).
Timesheets, Payroll processing, including superannuation contribution, timely preparation and submission of Payroll Tax reports, using MYOB, Employment Hero and Quickbooks Timesheets.
Handle supplier and customer invoices, communicate with clients regarding payments and invoices
Bank account reconciliation across multiple accounts and credit cards.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, assist with end of month and other financial reports.
Efficiently manage creditors, optimising the accounts payable process.
Oversee debtor management to maintain healthy cash flow.
Generate detailed management reporting packs for strategic decision-making.
Customer service – general phone duties, call and email handling
Essential Qualifications and experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably in a small to medium-sized Construction business.
Relevant tertiary qualification or bookkeeping certification
Previous experience in preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reports and processes.
Proficiency in using accounting software (MYOB), MS Office Suite, and Microsoft Excel (particularly formulas).
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
