OSHC Director | Community Led Service | Inner West Sydney

About the Role:
Are you an experienced Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) leader ready to take on a meaningful leadership role where you can make a real impact, without needing a long term tie? This 12-month contract offers the chance to lead, mentor, and strengthen a respected independent, not-for-profit service with deep community connections.

This full-time leadership role is not in ratio, giving you the space to:

• Provide clear, supportive leadership to a passionate, diverse team
• Mentor two Assistant Directors, guiding their leadership development
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with families, the school community, and the approved provider.
• Ensure smooth daily operations, best practice in governance, compliance, and reflective leadership under the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time, Our Place (MTOP) v2.0

About the Service:
This independent, community led OSHC service offers a welcoming, child focused environment where leadership, teamwork, and community connection truly matter. Supported by a capable leadership team and a flexible, committed group of educators, the service prioritises high quality care and continuous improvement.

You’ll have the tools and resources you need - including dedicated leadership and admin space - to guide the team, strengthen relationships, and ensure smooth daily operations.

With strong leadership and committee backing, this is a place where you can lead confidently, knowing your work makes a real and lasting impact.

What You Bring:
We’re looking for an experienced, thoughtful leader who:

• Holds a Diploma or Cert IV in School Age Education and Care (or equivalent)
• Has 2+ years’ experience in an OSHC Director or Coordinator role
• Understands the importance of relationships - with children, families, staff, and the wider community.
• Is confident working with CCMS systems, and is comfortable with policies and compliance
• Believes in leading by example, fostering a shared commitment to quality outcomes and continuous learning

Child Safeguarding:
Looking for an individual that will understand, adhere to, and promote The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (the Child Safe Standards). In your position, you will help to take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people.

Child safeguarding methods for this position, include, but are not limited to:

• A NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
• Thorough screening.
• Reference checks.
• A national criminal history check.
