About the role:
Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service and supporting your community? Melville Cares is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer – Reception for a casual position to provide relief for unplanned/planned leave and to become an integral part of our team. As the Administration Officer – Reception, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding administrative support, greeting visitors, and managing communications. If you have excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a friendly demeanour, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Answering phone calls, transferring as needed, and taking messages promptly and accurately.
Monitoring voicemail and email inboxes, responding or forwarding messages correctly and appropriately.
Maintaining a polite, confidential, and professional manner at all times.
Handling administrative tasks such as mail management, printing, and photocopying.
Receiving payments from clients and reconciling accounts via MYOB.
Ensuring workplace health and safety standards are adhered to.
Supporting the implementation of efficient working procedures.
Participating in training and development opportunities.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum two years’ experience in Reception/Administrative role.
Commitment to quality care for elderly and disabled clients.
Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to multi- task.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications and database management.
Current police clearance certificate and "C" Class driver license.
Desirable:
Experience in aged care
Experience with Workplace Health and Safety administration.
