The Team:

The Tasmanian Health Service delivers the Assessment and Case Management Service which aims to enhance aged care through three key programs: the Transition Care Program, the Aged Care Assessment Service South and the Community Options Service. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare and works collaboratively with a wide range of service providers to achieve better health outcomes for older Tasmanian’s.

The Role:

  • The role of the Administration Assistant is to provide reception, administrative and clerical support services to the Assessment and Case Management Services (ACMS) including an appropriate intake and referral functions, general information distribution and booking appointments.

You will need:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide reception, administrative and clerical duties including the use of Microsoft Office programs and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge of, database applications and systems such as My Aged Care, Digital Medical Record and Finance One.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff, clients, internal and external service providers utilising discretion and confidentiality, along with the knowledge and ability to work in a multidisciplinary health care team environment in such a way that promotes consumer focused care outcomes.
  • Possess excellent written and communication skills with the ability to organise and prioritise workload.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, Commencing As soon as possible for a 12 month period.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
