Role Overview
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Key Account Manager will oversee a portfolio of 10 to 11 strategic accounts across healthcare, aged care, hospitals and car rentals sectors. On a daily basis, you will manage client relationships, coordinate order support and resolve service queries to ensure seamless delivery. Weekly, you will collaborate with internal teams such as Product, Supply Chain and IT to drive new product rollouts and client onboarding. Each month, you will analyse account performance, prepare reports and present insights to stakeholders to support continuous growth and improvement.
This role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence long-term client success and business growth by building trusted partnerships with senior decision makers. You will lead consultative discussions to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, coordinate multi-departmental projects and contribute to strategic planning. Your expertise in managing complex accounts and collaborating with diverse teams will be critical in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence and sustainability in key Australian markets.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily contact with key customer stakeholders, supporting multiple decision makers within each account. Act as the primary point of contact for all service, supply and product-related queries.
- Assist customers with day-to-day orders, backorders and product questions, ensuring consistent and reliable service delivery.
- Produce and deliver monthly sales and performance reports to client teams, providing data analysis to support continuous improvement.
- Uphold high service standards across all customer touchpoints, reflecting the company's brand values and commitment to quality.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Product and IT teams to implement new garments or uniform programmes tailored to client needs.
- Support onboarding of new accounts and manage seamless transitions by overseeing timelines, resources and stakeholder engagement.
- Liaise with customer IT teams to manage systems setup and compatibility.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including Product, Manufacturing, Distribution and Customer Service to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Develop pricing proposals and quotations for existing and potential clients, ensuring commercial viability and alignment with budget targets.
- Partner with the National Business Development Manager on key account pitches and tenders, contributing insights and attending customer meetings.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or promotional sales within allocated accounts by monitoring buying patterns and client feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the CRM system, documenting customer interactions, issues and solutions to support performance tracking.
- Adhere to personal and workplace safety procedures and participate in required safety training.
Candidate Profile
You bring 2 to 3 years of key account management experience in a B2B environment, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, or transport sectors, managing complex, high-value accounts. You have a proven ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including CEOs, Heads of Marketing, Procurement leaders, and HR executives. With a strong background in account management and business development, you focus on solution selling and delivering exceptional customer-centric engagement. Experienced in navigating long sales cycles, you excel at building trust, managing trials, and securing commercial and supply agreements. You are skilled in leading end-to-end implementation and aftercare processes, from onboarding and stakeholder surveys to feedback loops. Your strong commercial acumen ensures you manage pricing, contracts, and delivery expectations within a structured framework, driving sustainable growth and client satisfaction.
