Financial Accountant

We’re looking for a hands-on Financial Accountant to join a dynamic finance team during an exciting period of growth and change. You’ll play a key role in driving accuracy across core financial operations—from GL and reporting to reconciliations, fixed assets, and payments.

This is a fixed-term opportunity through to mid-November (with potential to extend or go permanent), ideally suited to someone who’s confident, reliable, and ready to take ownership from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate coding
• Manage the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations and payment schedules
• Support the AP function in early stages (transitioning to outsourcing)
• Process distributor and AMO payments, including trades and concession payments via Austraclear
• Liaise closely with the FP&A Manager, AR Officers, and the broader finance team

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years’ experience in financial accounting and AP
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, fixed assets, and general ledger
• Industry background in retail is highly regarded
• MYOB experience preferred; Xero exposure a bonus
• Must have experience with Austraclear
• Diploma in Accounting required; CPA/ASA status advantageous
• Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitude
