Role: Learning & Development Specialist
Location: South East (Hybrid: 2-3 days on-site)
Contract: 11-week contract
Hourly Rate: $66.90 - $74.87 per hour + super
Start Date: ASAP
Randstad is proud to be partnered with a Local Government organisation in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs to recruit an experienced Learning & Development Specialist for an immediate short-term contract. This role plays a critical part in supporting a high-profile system transformation project, with a strong focus on instructional design and eLearning development.
About the Role
This opportunity sits within a fast-paced and collaborative transformation environment, where you will be responsible for the design and delivery of engaging, tailored learning materials that support the implementation of a new enterprise system (OneCouncil/TechOne). The ideal candidate will be skilled in instructional design, highly organised, and confident in delivering creative learning solutions aligned to project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engaging eLearning modules, explainer videos, and quick reference guides using tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, and Camtasia or Snagit (preferred)
- Work closely with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into effective learning solutions
- Conduct training needs analysis and apply the ADDIE framework (preferred) to project manage learning solutions
- Create and script learning content with strong attention to written detail, layout, and formatting
- Support change and process adoption through the creation of resources that align with business goals
- Evaluate and adjust content based on feedback to ensure relevance and effectiveness
- Report on learning outcomes and stakeholder feedback to inform continuous improvement
- Ensure learning materials support long-term sustainability and knowledge transfer beyond go-live
About You
- Experience in instructional design with a focus on systems training and process change
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia/Snagit)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including scripting and proofreading
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience with OneCouncil or TechnologyOne highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with flexibility for increased onsite presence during go-live
