About the role
Our client is seeking a skilled specialist for a 3-month contract to conduct a thorough review of existing internal KnowledgeBase articles. The primary objective is to identify inaccuracies, outdated information, and gaps, and to update and enhance the articles to ensure they are accurate, comprehensive, and user-friendly. This role will involve collaboration with the Education Services (ES) and Information Services (IS) teams, with input from the Digital Strategy and Engagement team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive review of existing KnowledgeBase articles to identify inaccuracies, outdated information, and gaps.
- Update and enhance KnowledgeBase articles to ensure they are accurate, comprehensive, and user-friendly.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts where necessary to validate the updated content.
- Work closely with the ES and IS teams and engage with the Digital Strategy and Engagement team for input and feedback.
- Ensure all updates align with La Trobe University's standards and guidelines.
- Document the review process and provide regular progress reports to the project manager.
- Develop clear and comprehensive instructional materials tailored to both novice and expert audiences.
- Develop process map to transition project work to business-as-usual tasks.
- Create initial rough draft templates of diagrams and video assets to support instructional content.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a learning and teaching specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and rectify inaccuracies and gaps in documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with KnowledgeBase systems and content management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with a proven ability to create instructional content that is accessible and engaging for both beginners and advanced users.
- Experience with graphic design pre-production such as drafting of diagrams and video assets to enhance instructional materials.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications or qualifications in content management will be highly regarded.
