About the Role

We’re seeking a Learning Support Specialist Tutor to deliver high-impact, evidence-based literacy intervention sessions. This remote role offers flexible scheduling, with required availability between 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM weekdays. Optional morning (7:00 AM – 8:30 AM) and weekend (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM) hours are available. A minimum commitment of 15 hours per week is required.

This position is ideal for:

Teachers, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses or Individuals with proven experience supporting children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver structured, one-on-one tutoring sessions aligned with best practices in literacy instruction.

Use phonics-based, multi-sensory techniques backed by the science of reading.

Support students with intensive intervention needs (Tier 3 in MTSS framework).

Adapt sessions to individual student needs and learning profiles.

Communicate regularly with families and the team.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing support planning.

What You’ll Need
✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in education, tutoring, or child-focused support
✔ Experience in literacy intervention (or willingness to complete our training)
✔ Strong communication and rapport-building skills
✔ A genuine passion for working with children with learning differences

Highly Regarded
Experience with Dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
Knowledge of phonics, multi-sensory learning, and science of reading frameworks
Experience in Tier 3 intervention (MTSS)

Hours & Flexibility
Weekdays (mandatory): 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Optional: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM (weekdays)

Weekend Availability (preferred): 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Minimum commitment: 15 hours/week
