About the Role
Etan Health Care is seeking a proactive and highly organised People & Culture / Rostering Coordinator to join our team in a dual-capacity role — providing hands-on HR support while also leading the scheduling of services for participants under the NDIS. You’ll be the engine behind daily operations, ensuring staff are effectively rostered, HR tasks are managed with professionalism, and our participants receive consistent and quality care.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in healthcare or community services, ideally with NDIS experience and familiarity using ShiftCare or other sector-specific platforms.
What You'll Do
Scheduling / Rostering
Manage end-to-end rostering and workforce coordination using ShiftCare
Ensure all support shifts are filled with appropriately skilled and compliant staff
Collaborate with Team Leaders and Coordinators to align staff with client needs
Adjust rosters promptly in response to staff absences or client changes
Maintain scheduling consistency for participants and staff to build long-term rapport
Provide clear, timely communication to both internal and external stakeholders
People & Culture (HR Support)
Assist with recruitment coordination, onboarding and induction of new staff
Monitor staff compliance (WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening, training etc.)
Maintain confidential employee records and assist with HR file audits
Support general HR functions including payroll queries, leave tracking and performance documentation
Provide administrative assistance with incident reporting and HR processes
Participate in continuous improvement of internal HR/scheduling systems
Arrange and schedule training for staff.
Essential Criteria
Minimum 2 years of experience in both scheduling/rostering and human resources within a dynamic, fast-paced environment (NDIS or healthcare sector preferred)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and effectively address both staff and client concerns
Proficiency in scheduling platforms (e.g. ShiftCare or similar), and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and tools
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make confident, effective decisions under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong general computer literacy
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and perform well under time constraints
Excellent time management and organisational abilities, with a proactive approach to workload planning
A current National Police Clearance (issued within the past 3 months)
